Workshop Postdoc in Germany - Porto Alegre

On March 3, the workshop ‘Postdoc in Germany’ will take place for the first time in Porto Alegre. Organised by the German Centre for Research and Innovation (DWIH) São Paulo, the event will present postdoctoral opportunities in Germany, including funding options and information on possible host institutions. The workshop is free of charge and will take place from 9 a.m. to 4.30 p.m. at the Pontíficia Universidade Católica do Rio Grande do Sul (PUCRS). Registrations are open until February 28.

Registration

The workshop is aimed at early-career researchers who are nearing the end of their PhD or who have completed their PhD no more than four years ago. After the presentation of the institutions, participants will be able to hold individual consultations with representatives from each of them. There will also be an opportunity to interact with former postdoctoral researchers, who will talk about their experiences in Germany.

The meeting will be held in English and is a partnership between DWIH São Paulo, the Centre for European and German Studies (CDEA) – formed by PUCRS and the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS) – and the centre's partners.

In addition to Porto Alegre, editions of the Postdoc in Germany workshop are planned for São Paulo on March 5, Montevideo (March 9-10) and Buenos Aires (March 12-13).
