Academic Mobility and Scientific Cooperation between Germany and Brazil (FAUBAI Conference 2026)
The session is jointly organized by the DWIH São Paulo network. It aims to provide a comprehensive overview of exchange and cooperation opportunities with Germany. It will introduce the German higher education and research landscape and present the DWIH São Paulo as a hub for German research and innovation institutions in Brazil. Major German funding organizations will outline programs and instruments supporting academic exchange, bilateral research collaboration, and institutional partnerships. German universities and research institutes will present their academic programs and research portfolios, highlighting areas of excellence and innovative study opportunities. Representatives will share insights on how students and researchers from Brazil can engage with their institutions, embark on study or research stays, or initiate collaborative research projects. The session will showcase successful multilateral cooperation initiatives and encourage discussion and exchange of ideas, clarifying questions, sharing experiences, and exploring new pathways for cooperation between Brazil and Germany.
Marcio Weichert, Executive Director of the UA Ruhr Latin America Liaison Office, will attend the conference on 11 April, where he will present the study, research and cooperation opportunities offered by the UA Ruhr and its three universities.
