Workshop PhD and Postdoc in Germany - Montevideo

Montevideo will host the PhD and Postdoc in Germany 2026 workshop on March 10. The event is organized by Freie Universität Berlin, Technische Universität München, Universitätsallianz Ruhr, and the University of Münster and will present opportunities for doctoral and postdoctoral studies in Germany, including funding options and information on potential host institutions. The workshop is free of charge and will take place at the Universidad de la República (UdelaR) from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The registration deadline is March 3.

Registration

The workshop is aimed at early-stage researchers – Master's students, doctoral candidates in the final stages of their studies, or individuals who completed their doctorate no more than four years ago. After the presentations by the institutions, participants will have the opportunity to hold one-on-one meetings with the respective representatives in a career fair format, with a change every 15 minutes.

The event will be held in English and is supported by the DAAD Lectureship Uruguay, the German Research Foundation, the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation and EURAXESS. It is co-organised and hosted by the Universidad de la República. The workshop will also take place in Porto Alegre (March 3), São Paulo (March 5) and Buenos Aires (March 12).
