TU Dortmund University: Social Pedagogy Professorship (W2) in the Department of Educational Sciences and Psychology

In this position, you will represent the field of social work and its didactics in research, further developing its national and international visibility. To this end, you will participate in research networks and collaborations within and outside TU Dortmund University, while also promoting early career researchers. In teaching, you will play a key role in the teacher training programme for social pedagogy/vocational teacher education for early childhood staff, as well as in the educational science degree programme (BA and MA) specialising in social work. You will also participate in the department's teaching activities as appropriate.
The university is seeking individuals who have obtained a doctorate with above-average success and acquired a postdoctoral teaching qualification (Habilitation) or equivalent. Candidates should demonstrate their research reputation in the field covered by the professorship through continuous publication in recognised, peer-reviewed journals, particularly in recent years. They should also have a track record of successfully acquiring competitively awarded third-party funding independently, demonstrate their willingness to expand their research profile through publications in international journals as well as have a clearly defined research profile in educational sciences or social sciences. Social and leadership skills, as well as a willingness to participate in academic self-administration, would be an asset. Furthermore, the recruitment requirements set out in Sections 36 and 37 of the Higher Education Act for North Rhine-Westphalia (Gesetz über die Hochschulen des Landes Nordrhein-Westfalen, HG) apply.
