The German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) has announced a new call for the PPP (Programme for project-based personnel exchanges) programme. The programme is designed to strengthen research collaboration between German higher education institutions and their international counterparts. In the current call, researchers from Brazil (CAPES and FAPESP) and Argentina are eligible for funding. Funding is scheduled to begin in 2027.

The initiative supports the development of the next generation of academic talent and encourages the application of early-career researchers (master's and doctoral students, post-doctoral fellows and early-career academics). However, senior professors and researchers may also be funded.

The programme facilitates mobility and short-term stays for the exchange of project participants from the partner institutions involved for research activities across all disciplines.

Application Process

Proposals must be submitted simultaneously by the German team to the DAAD (via the official portal) and by the partner team to their respective national agency in Brazil or Argentina. Each country has its own specific conditions and deadlines, as the programme operates via a co-funding model with local agencies. Prospective applicants should consult the country-specific conditions (Länderspezifische Bedingungen) on the DAAD portal.
