Workshop Postdoc in Germany 2026 in Rio de Janeiro

The UA Ruhr Latin America Liaison Office will participate in this year’s “Postdoc in Germany” workshop in Rio de Janeiro on September 23 and present research and funding opportunities for postdocs at the UA Ruhr universities.

The event is organized by the German Centre for Research and Innovation (DWIH) São Paulo and will take place from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the DAAD (German Academic Exchange Service) office in Rio de Janeiro’s Botafogo neighborhood. Participation is free, and registration is open until September 18. 

The workshop is aimed at early-career researchers who are in the final stages of their doctoral degrees or who completed them no more than four years ago. Following the presentations, the audience will have the opportunity to get individual advice from representatives of the participating institutions. 

The event will be held in English and is a collaboration between the DWIH São Paulo and its supporters. The postdoc event in Rio de Janeiro is the third one in Brazil this year: The first took place on March 3 in Porto Alegre, and the second on March 5 in São Paulo. Moreover, postdoc workshops were also held in Buenos Aires and Montevideo.
