TU Dortmund University: W1 Professorship in Entrepreneurship and Digitalization

The Department of Business and Economics at TU Dortmund University is offering a W1 Professorship in Entrepreneurship and Digitalization. The position is to be filled at the earliest possible date.

Profile of the professorship

You represent the field of Entrepreneurship in research, preferably with expertise relating to one or more of the areas Digitalization, Digital Transformation, Artificial Intelligence, Digital Business Models, Digital Innovation, or Digital Competencies, and further develop your research with (inter-)national visibility. In doing so, you participate in research networks and cooperations within and outside TU Dortmund University and the University Alliance Ruhr. You are willing to acquire third-party funds, are committed to promoting early career researchers and participate appropriately in the teaching activities of the department. The appointment is initially for a period of three years as a temporary civil servant. In the course of the third year, this status will be reviewed and may be extended for a further three years depending on performance. The teaching load is four hours per week in each of the first three years. In the case of a positive review, it will increase to five hours per week in each of the last three years. 

Your qualifications

You have obtained a doctorate with above-average success and already demonstrate initial experience in the dissemination of your research in the field of the professorship through international publications and/or submissions at an advanced review stage in recognized peer-reviewed venues. In addition, you have experience in conducting relevant empirical research projects. Experience in obtaining third-party funding is desirable. Additionally, you will have the potential for teaching excellence. Social and leadership skills and the willingness to participate in academic selfadministration will complete your profile. Moreover, the recruitment requirements in Section 36 of the North Rhine-Westphalia Higher Education Act (Gesetz über die Hochschulen des Landes Nordrhein-Westfalen, HG) apply.
